Jingle Cone Chainmail (On going)
I began this project my first year of grad school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Newly moved to the city, I spent a day walking around the Art Institute of Chicago finding myself in the arms and armors wing of the museum. I spent quite a bit of time admiring the craftsmanship of the many chain mail pieces. As a joke I texted my sister asking her what she thought of chain mailing jingle cones. She responded with a simple "hell ya".
And so this years long project was born. Driven by the idea and history of both chainmail and jingle cones. One an article worn to protection garment and the other a form a medicine. This piece is still in progress and will continue to grow.
